Idyllic beaches in Mallorca

Discover Es Trenc, Playa de Muro and Formentor

You’re in Mallorca. And if you’re staying at The Boc Hostels, you’re probably enjoying the best of Palma de Mallorca and its never-ending list of things to do! On our blog you can find a wide selection of topics to make the most out of your stay at one of our hostels: we talk about restaurants, bars, sightseeing, day trips and more!

But today we want to tell you all about our three favourite beaches on the island. If you’re seeking for Mediterranean beauty at its most authentic shape and colour, this is the blog post you should be reading!

Idyllic beaches in Mallorca – Es Trenc

We could not start this post about the most stunning beaches on Mallorca with any other beach that this one: Es Trenc. Located in Mallorca’s Southeast and known as Mallorca’s response to the Caribbean, this white-sanded beach with turquoise waters is what dreams are made of! If you’re looking for heaven on earth, this is it! You just found it! Its shallow, calm water is medicine to the soul and thanks to its setting, surrounded by dunes, it gives you a glimpse of natural living on the island. There are a few restaurants and bars at the beach, in addition to basic toilets, but that’s about it.

Our favourite beaches in Mallorca – Playa de Muro

Heading all the way North, opposite from Es Trenc, you will find a 6-kilometre-long Mediterranean gem called Playa de Muro. Holding a blue flag, this white sandy beach is one of the longest beaches on the Balearic Islands divided into different sectors, all of them boasting fine golden sand and blue water. Perfect for families with young children, Playa de Muro offers services like toilets, showers, disabled access and lifeguard, in addition to playgrounds and amusement for children.

The most beautiful beaches in Mallorca – Formentor

Last, but not least, we’d like to recommend you the beach of Formentor. Located on the northern Cap de Formentor, you will find Playa de Formentor about 10 kilometres from Port de Pollensa. One of the things we love about it is its wildness, due to its dramatic backdrop. On the beach there’s a pine forest offering shade on the narrow, but long beach for anyone enjoying a beach day.

We’d love to hear all about your beach day at any of these idyllic beaches in Mallorca. If you need any help renting a car or finding out how to get there, please don’t hesitate to come by the front desk!
